Better Together pulls petition, Vice Chairman calls for dissolution of the organization

Better Together, the group that proposed a constitutional amendment to merge St. Louis City and St. Louis County via a statewide vote has pulled its initiative petition from ballot consideration for the November 2020 election. The proposal faced significant controversy, and was finally pulled in May. Shortly thereafter, the Vice Chairman called for Better Together’s official dissolution. While official dissolution apparently has not yet occurred, the group does not appear to be preparing to re-file the petition.
