Joseph E. Bond is principal attorney with Cunningham, Vogel & Rost, P.C. He represents the firm’s municipal clients in general municipal issues, public utility, and telecommunications law. Joe has represented multiple municipalities as special counsel in Missouri and Illinois relating to zoning code drafting, election law issues and ballot language drafting, telecommunications applications and related litigation, among other municipal issues. Joe serves as the appointed City Attorney of Overland, Missouri, and has also served as a hearing officer.
Joe received his B.A. in History, with high honors, from the University of Kansas, where he was a member of the Honors Program. Joe earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he also served as the President of the Student Bar Association.
Prior to joining the firm, Joe was actively involved with environmental advocates working toward additional protections for the Mahomet Aquifer in Central Illinois, for remediation of PFOA/PFOS located in military bases in Central Illinois, and in surety bond issues regarding coal company bankruptcies throughout Illinois.
