Steven M. Lucas is an associate attorney with Cunningham, Vogel & Rost, P.C. He represents the firm’s municipal clients in general municipal issues, land use matters, and other municipal practice areas. Steven also serves as City Attorney for the city of Gerald, Missouri.
Prior to joining the firm, Steven was actively involved as a public official in the development and implementation of a $10 million downtown revitalization project in the Kansas City area using a pedestrian-friendly design to improve the quality of the built environment in order to support community health and safety, catalyze economic development, and promote environmental sustainability. Steven served as a Planning Commissioner and as an elected Council member for the City of Mission, Kansas. He also served as an intern for the Office of the City Attorney in Kansas City, Missouri.
Steven received his B.S. in Education and his Master of Urban Planning (M.U.P) from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. Steven earned his J.D. degree, with an emphasis in Urban, Land Use and Environmental Law, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
