Emalea K. Black is an associate attorney with Cunningham, Vogel & Rost, P.C. She represents the firm's municipal clients in governmental litigation, public utility issues, and general municipal issues.
Emalea received her B.A. degrees in Political Science and English, magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. She received her J.D. and the Certificate of Specialization in Law and Business from Vanderbilt Law School, where she was a member of Phi Delta Phi and participated in the Civil Practice Legal Clinic and the International Legal Studies Program.
Prior to joining the firm, Emalea studied law and government through externships with the 25th Judicial Circuit of Missouri in Phelps County, Missouri and the United States House of Representatives in Rolla, Missouri. She also studied in Washington, D.C. and at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland.
